Inclement Weather Policy

Nanny Needs' offices will be closed or delayed for inclement weather when local school districts and government buildings are both closed or delayed. For Central Arkansas, we most closely follow the decision of the Little Rock School District, but may choose to modify based on local government closings, like the Air Force Base, or other local schools. We communicate with our employees about their availability and safety to travel in various conditions.
 

For parents who are not able to miss work despite inclement weather, your Personal Care Manager needs to be contacted as soon as possible to offer other solutions. These conversations need to happen with our office staff and not directly with a nanny! Our most common solutions are to host a Nanny sleepover with Families , the parents transporting a Nanny during inclement weather, or schedule another Nanny to come who is able to travel.

Our priority at Nanny Needs is always safety. Talk with our office staff to make sure we can safely help with your needs during inclement weather! Like preschools, day cares, and any other child care option, weekly payment for our services is due regardless of inclement weather. Unlike other options, we have options to provide care for the many Families who are not able to miss work due to poor weather.
